One thing the far-left should learn from Trump is that the politics of outrage simply don't work. Hillary Clinton's campaign believed that if they called Trump "sexist", "racist" and "a bully" that no-one would vote for him. They were wrong. The politics of outrage is stupid shit. The only question for voters in the 2016 campaign was this: which candidate is an old-fashioned establishment hack, and which one is the frustrated candidate who genuinely wants to repair their broken nation?
